As the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates continue in their search to find different ways to pander to their base, it seems they are trying to destroy America’s fundamental values and even more, the constitution and laws.

During a CNN town hall Monday night, Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) was asked if incarcerated felons like the Boston Marathon bomber or those convicted of sexual assault should be eligible to vote while serving their sentences, Sanders firmly replied, “The right to vote is inherent to our democracy– yes, even for terrible people.”

Bernie Sanders went on to say, “If somebody commits a serious crime, sexual assault, murder, they’re going to be punished. They may be in jail for 10 years, 20 years, 50 years, their whole lives. That’s what happens when you commit a serious crime.”

“But I think the right to vote is inherent to our democracy– yes, even for terrible people,” he added, “because once you start chipping away and you say, ‘Well, that guy committed a terrible crime, not going to let him vote.’ You’re running down a slippery slope.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) not surprisingly sponsored Bernie’s idea, where she took to Twitter and wrote, “To avoid looking completely + utterly out of touch w/ the reality our prison system: Instead of asking, “Should the Boston Bomber have the right to vote?” Try, “Should a nonviolent person stopped w/ a dime bag LOSE the right to vote?” Bc that question reflects WAY more people.”

Since Donald Trump became President, however, he has taught Republicans to start standing up to the radical left and their insane ideas. Take for example when Ocasio-Cortez announced her “Green New Deal”. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) challenged Senators and held a to vote on it after Democrats peddled the deal to their base. Not one Democrat voted “Yes”. (Continued Below)

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) took note of the controversy surrounding Bernie Sanders’ proposed idea after Cortez jumped aboard.

Graham challenged elected officials by calling for a vote to expose the insanity, and he wrote on Twitter Thursday, “Let’s vote on @BernieSanders idea to allow rapists, murderers, and terrorists to vote from prison.”

He added, “See where every elected official stands!” (Continued Below)
