Donald Trump Jr. slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday as the Payroll Protection Plan (PPP) ran out of money.

As reported by Countable, the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) has exhausted the last of the $349 billion in funding it was provided under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to make forgivable loans to small businesses.

Last Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s called for unanimous consent to quickly approve an additional $250 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program, under which small businesses can get federally backed loans that will be forgiven if they keep workers on payroll during the coronavirus shutdown.

Senate Democats, however, blocked Mitch McConnell after trying to offer their own alternative to amend the GOP plan, which Senate Republicans rejected.

Speaker Pelosi congratulated Senate Democrats on Tuesday over their efforts that she boasted to have been part of. And she hasn’t shown any desire to motivate her party to approve the additional $250 billion in funding for the program that has helped keep small businesses and their employees afloat, even as it has run out of funds.

In his response to the PPP running out of funding, Trump Jr. urged Pelosi to “stop playing politics with people’s lives.” See Below

Don Jr. tweeted, “Pelosi holding up relief for millions of American small businesses, who are on the brink of collapse, in a transparently callous effort to hurt Republicans politically is one of the most grotesque things I’ve seen in politics.

“STOP PLAYING POLITICS WITH PEOPLES LIVES, NANCY!!!” he added. See Below
